Synopsis

Three films directed by Jérôme Amimer on his Russian origins in search of real or fantasized traces.

"Le Reflection" (47 ', 2008) : In 1942, my grandmother left her Russian village burned by the SS. She was 25 years old at the time. She died thirty-six years later, here in France without ever having seen her country again. 65 years later, I went there. I wanted to find her traces.

"Khatyn" (47 ', 2011) is an old village in Belarus. In 1943, the village was wiped out and its population massacred by the Nazis. A memorial has been built on its site. The film tells the story of this massacre where images of this place of memory mingle with visions of inhabitants of the village.

"The Shadow" (45 ', 2011): "I built this film from the soundtrack of my film "Le Reflection". I tried to connect Russia and France by bringing the female voices from my grandmother's village into the ruins of Oradour-sur-Glane ".
