Synopsis

The film tells the tragedy of Khatyn , one of thousands of Belarusian villages burnt by the Nazis during the Second World War. It questions the representation of its memory by visiting the memorial that is devoted to it."A place of memory in every sense of the word goes from the most material and concrete object, possibly geographically located, to the most abstract and intellectually constructed object." Pierre Nora , historian
