Synopsis

Officially, the Evian agreements of 19 March 1962 marked the end of the war in Algeria. In fact, there was not "one" but "wars" in Algeria. Because what is called the Algerian war has not only pitted the French army against the ALN, the armed wing of the FLN in Algeria, as in France, another war pitted the Algerians against each other within a nationalist movement whose stake was control of the struggle for independence. The Algerian war can only be understood by going back to the origins of this movement, its crises and its radicalization from terrorism to war. The film will come back to the erasure of this movement of democratic inspiration annihilated by the FLN, by comparing the testimony of militants with that of historians.
