The Long march to independence

A film by Cosmin Markovitch (52', 2005)

Synopsis

"The desire to film came back with the trip and the sweet feeling of not understanding anything about it. Perhaps this still prevents the desert from growing this bit of the United States until Estonia. I think of Helen, too exhausted to cross the Atlantic again, to pass on the other side of the mirror. As for me, I never really knew if it was a displacement in space or in time - and if I saw a reflection or an omen face to Europe. In any case, the more I advanced, the more I realized that I was always filming the same things, whatever the country: looks, abandoned buildings and the DDE. "
