Synopsis

Vasyl, 70, is a ski jumping coach at a children's sports school in Ukraine. He lives and works in a small village in the heart of the Carpathian mountains. Three women left him, unable to understand the sacrifice of a lifetime to sport and nature. Alone in the mountains, he seeks harmony with nature to ward off the fear of his apprentice champions. Zhenya is one of his students. She aspires to soar ever higher like her country Ukraine, loving freedom.
